Based on industry standard 900μm tight and semi-tight buffer multimode fibre, CBi Telecom manufactures a variety of different construction tight buffered and breakout cables for horizontal distribution, backbone and riser applications, patchcords, rack to rack links in data centre equipment rooms. For maximum reliability, aramid yarns or e-glass are used to provide strength and additional protection of the optical fibres. To ensure compliance to safety and fire hazard standards Low Smoke Zero Halogen is used as a standard sheath material.
For uncompromised reliability and flexibility in optical fibre networks, CBi Telecom manufactures a range of loose tube optical fibre cables in either a stranded or monotube configuration. Through precision manufacturing processes and optimal material choice, CBi Telecom can supply both conventional and micro loose tube optical fibre cables with an exceptional low attenuation of 0.18 dB/km at 1550 nm.

Recognising the cost pressures in rolling-out an optical fibre cable network, CBi Telecom incorporated and number of ease of installation features in its range of duct optical fibre cables, from easy strippable final sheath configurations to optimised designs for air assisted or blown installation into existing sub and micro ducts.
Utilising our extensive experience in both micro duct manufacturing and air-assisted installations, a tailored product solution of duct and blown optimised optical fibre cable can be offered with guaranteed blown installation performance of up to 2000 m.
Telecoms offers an extensive range of optical fibre cables for all types of applications and environments, up to a fibre count of 288 fibres. For outside plant applications all cable is supplied with UV stabilised polyethylene sheath or PVC options; and all aerial cables are UV stabilised through an even dispersion of carbon black and other proprietary additives in a black polyethylene sheath. For indoor applications cables can be sheathed with flame retardant and low halogen PVC or Low Smoke Zero Halogen sheath options.
A full spectrum of optical fibre types are available in all our products and includes low loss standard single mode fibre (ITU-T G.652D), low dispersion high bandwidth single mode fibre (ITU-T G.655 and G.656), bend insensitive single mode fibre (ITU-T G.657) and high bandwidth and laser optimised multimode fibre (OM2, OM3 and OM4). Hybrid optical fibre cable designs are available upon request.
